    OK, I'll play.

Almost 70 years since the 1st one played, 50 for the 2nd & 3rd, and 20 for the 4th, you don't have to explain who they are to a Tech fan.

10 years from now, the Brauns will be a minor footnote.

Some of that is 3 of the 4 Rhinos played a higher profile position - DB - both of Chappell's two boys and same for the grandson. And Chappell's "One Play" has him a special place in COFH

The Brauns? OLs & no major national awards. That describes a ton of OLs.

I was at the game when Randy Rhino had the 96 yard punt return against South Carolina.

You can see it in this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKaWxNCWxZg

    The Rhinos are legends.

The Brauns are not. Now that one has chosen to be a turncoat mutt, it tarnishes the entire family's GT lineage. The other one quit on us.

The Rhinos are legends. Time will tell if the Brauns obtain anywhere near that status.

While the status may established by performance on the field it is solidified by their actions with the Institute after their career here is over. The Rhinos have established themselves in both categories. Time will tell if the Brauns participate.

As for one Braun leaving after graduation to pursue a postgraduate degree and one deciding to go to Georgia, it doesn't tarnish what they did for us while here.

This. I'll hold Trey in high regard because he was a starter on the best Tech team since 1990, he bleeds white and gold and makes it known publicly (social media). Parker was a beast but left and he did call out our fans (we definitely deserve it though). Don't hate the guy and appreciate his efforts, especially as a starter on the 2016 team but not going to be someone that comes to mind when you talk about Tech greats.

Randy may have played his position better AND longer than any other Tech player in last 50 yrs.Crazy good.Just thankful for him with the others a sweet icing.
Brauns were a blessing also but not in same class. 3 to 2.

"3?" There were four Rhinos to play FB at GT: Chappell "One Play," his two sons Randy and Danny a coupla years apart in the early-mid '70s, then Randy's son Kelley. BTW, Randy & Danny also have a coupla younger brothers named Tim (FB at USCe) and Dave (Baseball at Free$hoesU) who were pretty good athletes as well.

But you're right - a College FB HoFer pretty much outweighs a coupla OLs at GT.

Randy came back and worked as the GT team chiropractor for many years. He was down there when I was covering GT sports. So his legacy lived on in a new career. Was privileged to speak with him many times. A total gentleman.
