    Myles Sims transferring to GT

HUGE get, in my opinion. He was a Rivals top 150 a year ago and is leaving Michigan after one year. From Atlanta and some think he has a shot at immediate eligibility. We are weak overall at CB, even though Tre Swilling is good and was our best DB during the spring. If Sims pans out, we could have the best CB tandem in the ACC and our secondary would look REALLY good going into next year. That would also move all the other CB's back a spot, helping our depth.

We've now had two former big time recruits transfer in to Tech at positions of need (Clayton on the DL) and we might have both of them eligible immediately. I'm more hopeful for Sims to turn into a star since he's only one year removed from High school and about to work with Collins while he's still young and in the early stages of his career. Hopefully Clayton will work out too but he's been in college for 3 years and has already shown what he is. Unless a switch flips with him, his ceiling is a solid starter for us.

This is very big. For many reasons. One, he's apparently a solid 4 star talent that just got caught in a numbers game in Ann Arbor. Until our pass rushing capabilities improve, we will need a very good secondary as back up. I think we are getting there. He should make all the DB better just by being on our roster. Secondly, he's from Westlake and ought to preach the word on the new Tech to the kids there and other players that are on Westlake's schedule. Should cement recruiting relationships at Westlake and around the district. This is a big, big plus for us.

great pickup for us. I hope he can play immediately. Collins does have a good track record with CBs.

A great get. Tre on one side and Sims on the other. Defensive side of the ball looking better and better. Here's hoping he gets the waiver.

“You win with people first. When you surround yourself with unbelievable men of character and relentless recruiters who give great effort and care about the student-athlete and want them to be successful in every single phase of their lives, and tie that together with a great place, you have a chance to build something special.”

Good looking player. Passes the eye test with me. I'm glad he's moving back home, as is momma, I'll bet. He may make the pass rush guys a little better, too.
    Get off my lawn.
