Danny Hall and the GT Baseball Resurgence

Looks like Danny Hall has got it going again at GT. A run to the CWS would put a punctuation mark on this year's Georgia Tech baseball season. With a strong finish and win in the Regional, GT would probably hostd a Super Regional. Currently RPI is a very impressive 9.

I've been watching Bbasebal from arm's lengths this year and might end up going to the game friday or saturday. Perhaps they are like most teams in that pitching is where you can consider self among the best but I'll bet every opposing coach is just hanging on until we go to our bullpen. I think we had dook down 14-3 and hung on to win 14-10. This happened all too often this year.

I like to listen to games on the GT Gameday App and I've been very impressed with this years baseball team. Last night against Pitt we were down 6 early and won 12-7. They've beaten the #1 team in the county (UCLA) , beaten Georgie 2 of 3, etc. The big difference seems to be team chemistry and consistency - we've won 8(?) series in a row.

I'll admit I was skeptical of him having this kind of year after the last few years. I'll take a wait and see attitude going forward. There have been some flameouts in the regionals in the past.

I have to agree. I've been thinking we needed a change but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. It'd been nice to see us go deep into the WS.

Thats very true about the regionals. At least it looks like they may host one this year.

Seems obvious he saw some writing on the wall as regards do something or get off the toilet.

Not saying we do or do not deserve to host, but way too often that seems to have been the goal only leading to disappointment in the past.

To win a CWS a team has to prove their toughness. That road for GT just might to actually be playing on the road.

I'm no defender of Danny Hall per se but I think we had a more significant injury bug last year. It remains to be seen how he coaches (and the the players get motivation from him) in the tourney and hopefully beyond.
