Georgia Tech revenue estimates from Mercedes-Benz Stadium games

The athletic department estimates that the five games will generate $10 million more in revenue than if the games were to be held at Bobby Dodd Stadium, according to documents obtained in an open-records request. Moreover, the projection is based off of conservative ticket-sales figures.

Stansbury has done more in the last year and half than some our AD's did their whole time here.
"We're not here to have a Norman Vincent Peale "Power of Positive Thinking" get together or a Georgia Tech Football Revival Meeting."

    Jim Hart

“You win with people first. When you surround yourself with unbelievable men of character and relentless recruiters who give great effort and care about the student-athlete and want them to be successful in every single phase of their lives, and tie that together with a great place, you have a chance to build something special.”

    Geoff Collins

At least one of the angry, disappointed holdovers on TOS have already decided the glass is 7/8's empty with this one. On this site, let's see what sga has to say.

You really care that much about what I say? Some of you guys are weird.

I've been on the record that I am a fan of everything going on with the program at this point in time and this decision is no different. I'm excited about playing games at MBS. I've also been on the record saying that Collins was my number one pick of the candidates for the job and I think he was a home run hire.

Glad we have an AD that's committed and all in. Great things could be on the way.

It's not the we care, per se. You just stand out around here. It's hard not to comment on the unusual things in one's surroundings.

The weird thing is that I haven’t said anything that way out of left field or crazy. You can’t name one thing.

This is not my field of expertise, but how to you make $10 million more revenue on 45,000 capacity compared to Grant Field? Higher ticket prices?

No, it is bigger, but the article said our games would only be for the lower bowl.

Let me say this-IF IF IF IF IF those numbers are true and work out, it is probably worth giving up home field advantage and probably losing on nat TV by playing at MBS.
