If Parker Braun did not want to play here anymore, then we are definitely better without him.

Losing one of the best football players in the entire country, especially on the line of scrimmage, makes you worse. It’s pretty simple. Having him on this year’s team would’ve made us better. I don’t see how that can be argued.

This is a team sport. If you don't want to be a member of the team, you should move on!

What does this have to do with the topic? No one said he shouldn’t have moved on.

Best players in the country? Really?

Ummm, yes. Absolutely. I’m sure if someone else said those words, you wouldn’t have disputed it. Stop being ridiculous. He was 1st team All-ACC, which means he was the elite of the elite.

Braun is a very good offensive lineman. I'm sure he had his reasons for going to Texas. Could be he wanted to go to a well established program and be able to demonstrate his skills for a shot at the NFL. I don't know if he is one of the best in the country but I wish him success.

Guys, come on. If you guys don’t think Braun is one of the best offensive linemen in the country, you literally have no more credibility. This is common knowledge. Indisputable. I shouldn’t be shocked anymore but I am that we are having this conversation.

You should see someone about your paranoia issues.

Agreed. Benson's size, injury history and fumble-itis weren't going to help us much, nor was undersized Braun's cut-blocking. I think Braun, especially, knew that he wasn't going to thrive in the new scheme. I wish them both the best and credit Braun for getting his degree first. Benson's making a mistake IMO not doing that too.

What I don't get is the whole "Braun didn't want to end his career here, under a new coach and scheme" argument. Um, by transferring to Texas, he's ending his career under a new coach and scheme! Whatever - he'll be fine without us and we'll be fine without him. Worst case is that our 2020 starter at his position is going to have an extra year of experience.
