The real reason why Krumpus is retiring

He is leaving the cupboard bare!
    The following wonít be back:
    Stewart WR/PR/H
    Marshall RT
    Bryan RT
    Marshall QB
    Lynch RB
    Searcy RB
    Saint-Amour DE
    Cerge-Henderson NT
    Branch DE
    Alexander ILB
    Mitchell LB
    Johnson STGR
    Rivera FS
    Simmons CB
    Roberts LS

8 of the defensive starters are being lost.
The biggest loss with be the entire defensive line.
We could have easily lost 3 games this year in that of UNC, Miami, Virginia and been 4-8.
Obviously, he sees 2019 being a big time problem and let the new coach take the heat for a poor record next season.

You're not wrong. Next coach gets 2 years before I expect a 6-6 season. Our recruiting was trash under pj, and we may be entering one of the thinnest years of talent since pj started.

Yep. Ol' Krumpus fell ass-backwards into the most-talented team on the Flats since 1990 (and still couldn't beat the mutts at home in 2009).

Now he's leaving a near-completely bare cupboard for the next poor bastard who has to start getting rid of the disease of "It Is What It Is" mediocrity that CPJ introduced to our program.

It's interesting. Literally the only people sad about this guy's departure are on the GT message boards. Every fan I know personally is glad he's gone. Every alum I know personally is glad he's gone. Friends and family members who are college football fans are happy for me. "Now maybe you guys will beat Duke lol" and stuff like that. It seems we were mostly a laughingstock to all but the dwindled number of CPJ Option fanboys.

I've had my 4th account banned from The Hive this week lol

only big loss I see is Saint Amour. We have Adams coming back though so that should offset the loss somewhat. Mitchell didn’t play well this year so not a big hole there. On offense we have a lot of exciting kids vying at QB. Oliver, Johnson, Graham and Yates. All our B backs return including Benson. Don’t know what kind of offense we will run but the cupboard is definitely not bare!

Agree and with new offense other than the 30 I think the high school blue c hippers might be interested...

This goes back to my thought that a NEW Offense will suffer big time ( Bohannon? may be the easiest transition guy)).We very have limited talent at WR.Small OTs.No proven passers.A mish-mash of runners with the Bbacks being stacked but little Aback size/ talent. Are the bbacks good enough(fast?) for a one back Offense..
The DEF has its own problems with loss of 5 of front 7.We have some talent but no depth.
PJ might have done ok with this group but a new OFFense will be HURTING.

READ MY LIPS. NO TRIPLE OPTION. We've survived 10 loss seasons before. No biggie.

CPJs best back to back years were his first 2 at GT. Then gigantic roller coaster.

I would rather the next HC have his 2 best back to back seasons be his last 2 here (regardless of how many years he stays) than what we just had.

My biggest expectation for the next HC is to have his team as ready as they can be coming out of the gate, and next, to play their guts out every game.

    Build from there.
