    Mighty Duke

I'm tired of reading elsewhere how mighty and great Duke is, and how it's because they're spending more $$$ than we are, have better facilities, more staff, easier to recruit, etc.

This ain't basketball. Duke plays in a high-school stadium - we play in a high-school offense. Durham is a ****hole compare to Atlanta. Academically, Duke isn't the mutts nor Clemson. NC isn't nearly the HS hotbed of football talent that GA is. But hell, who would you rather play for - Cutcliffe or CPJ? Get a world-class diploma AND have a shot at the NFL, meeting the Mannings every summer? Or ankle-dive for B-back dives and QB Keepers?

Stop the excuses! Their athletes aren't faster, stronger nor better than ours. On gameday, the staff size ain't what's causing them to beat us 3 of 4 games, each victory of more than 20+ pts.

It's CPJ. And that's another part of his legacy: Under CPJ, we've now sunk below ****ing DUKE.

I hope we put 70 up on these assholes so the Johnsonians can stop crying about what a freaking powerhouse Duke is.

me too. Cutcliffe has to recruit kids to play in a HS stadium in front of 20,000 bored basketball fans. Yet he has been whipping ol' CPJ lately, who has to recruit kids to play in a HS offense!

You are so far out of line it's ridiculous. Duke is a good ball club. They have out spent us in recruiting and facilities the last several years.

Their facilities are high school? You're ignorant and stupid. I went to the game last year, up there, when they kicked our butt. They are a solid, well coached team with better non-coaching staff doing the recruiting we have just started to do.

Their facilities are first class, a fun stadium and, unlike us, they turn out to support their team.

CE, you have missed the point entirely. That being, while we have been regressing, Duke has gotten better, much better than Georgia Tech. And how did they do it? they hired the right coach for them. We need to investigate that move.

They've improved their facilities but their stadium is still a cut below. Against VT, they drew 32,000. They were undefeated and nationally ranked. Yet, they couldn't sell out a 40,000 seat stadium and a lot of the fans at that game were from VT. We drew around 38,000 to 40,000 for Bowling Green. Tech outdrew Duke even though Duke was playing a major ACC opponent and we were playing a MAC team. The bigger problem is that Cutcliffe has been outrecruiting PJ and it is showing on the field.

More excuses. Their athletes aren't any better than ours. Their coach, however, is light-years better.

And their "fun stadium" seats about 35,000 people. It's a ****ing joke and is often sparsely attended.

Thanks for posting though, and illustrating my point. Once again, a Johnsonian resorts to insults when met with fact. It's a fascinating, entirely-predictable response by you guys every single time. Not once did I insult a fan. Yet you immediately did so to me in your response.

^EXACTLY. "Fun stadium" and "turn out to support their team"? CE is in fantasy land. Anything to deny admitting that our coach sucks.
