    The Harsh Reality

1.) Woody is a lower end FBS defensive coordinator. Going against better players and coaches, he is overmatched and he hasn't seen Clemson, Miami, VT or UGA yet.
2.) Marshall may be the worst QB in the power 5. He only completes passes against FCS schools and soft coverage. When things get tight the ball doesn't leave his hands.
3.) PJ is just too stubborn to change. A shotgun package wouldn't ruin the base offense. Maybe then we could run a 2 minute offense that didn't take over 3 minutes.
4.) If you think improved facilities will help football recruiting, you are fooling yourself.
5.) Stansbury is good at fundraising but he is coming across more as an used car salesman. You can only sell people lemons for so long.

Is Stansbury a good enough fund raiser to raise the funds it takes to buy out Johnson's contract?

I believe so but we'll have to endure more defeats before it happens.

I think Woody is like all DC guys.give them good players and they can do well give them marginal players and we play marginal. The thing PJ will not admit is he doesnt have the talent to play good teams and he will not recruit for the defense....nope this is not on Woody no more than it was on the other four DC let go after bad years

Maybe but it would cramp the next coach's budget for assistant coaches. The extension was a big mistake. An extension is overrated for recruiting.

An extension for recruiting sake is only appropriate if the HC is worth a tinkers darn as a recruiter. Otherwise it is a mistake.

I've heard his buyout is only $2 million. Maybe Taz left some money in his will to cover a coaching change or two.

Agree. With our coaching situation recruits should look at a possible change as upside.

I read where Michael Johnson earned $45 million over his career. Kuchar, Cink, Duval, and half a dozen other golfers have two million in petty cash. Shaq just signed a contract with $50 million guaranteed. Calvin, Brooking, Swilliing. Money has never been the problem.

Ha, I would like to see Stansbury approach those guys for a handout to pay off johnson. They would look at him and say tough bones T.S. "you gave him the raise & extension you pay him"
