is doing a review of recruiting classes.--GT Swarm.--Today they did '14.What jumps out is that possibly not ONE of the SIX OLs signed that yr will have played out his career at Tech.Marshall may play this yr or MAY not. This is just AMAZING--as in BAD amazing..You need only to see this and see why we had 2 of 3 last seasons losing.
Some of it was bad recruiting choices but a lot of the reason for losing these guys was the system--either they got hurt or didn't like it probably.
I doubt that another school has duplicated this record.

I've said this before but all the talk about our linemen cut blocking and injuring defensive linemen. I've never seen a d-linemen get a torn acl as the result of a cut block since PJ was at Tech. I do see a lot of our o-linemen hurt and struggling to get back to the huddle. You'll see guys down multiple times in a game. When you go low that much, the person going low is much more at risk for an injury.

I've pointed out in previous threads that this year's class are the seniors who were recruited after 2014 - the Greatest Year CPJ Has Had At Tech.

These guys should be the cream of the recruiting crop. Recruiting after 2014's Orange Bowl victory should've been easy. Let's hope these kids go out kicking ass and taking names.

Because if they don't, it's all downhill from here.

Welll for the fiftieth time if you cant recruit you........cant win.Eight teams we play kill us in recruiting so when they get decent coaching they make it tough....looks to me we dont need all the backs we get and need to foucus more on the defensive lineman ............we shall see but if we have a bad yr nobody on the Hill will be upset.............no pressure to win and that aint good

Our guy is lazy when it comes to recruiting. Sorry, but he just is. He delegates it out most of the time. And I get it, he knows he is not the most charming guy to be meeting and greeting the kids and their families. But O'Leary said it best: recruiting is like shaving--if you don't do it every day, you end up looking like a bum.

yeah CPJ clearly ranks recruiting right down there with defense. And agreed mack - how many freaking A-backs do we really need??

The recruiting has been mediocre since he got here. no reason to think it will improve much. Hopefully Woody will do better on the D side. Pretty much our last hope of things improving under ol' CPJ.

What is really bad is with the exception of beating georgie which I love Chan and PJ have the same percentage won loss......in fact if Chanhad a qb he would still be there today.....we had tons of talent then but not now.

That cut blocking is hard on the OLs shoulders and necks.

How many "athletic" QBs do we need to sign in each class? Quit signing the pipsqueaks and start signing one big durable passer that can run if need be per class, and then go after OL/DL size & speed.
