    Speaking of Duke

I get a lot of crap about negativity and proclaiming Duke football is now on a firmer footing than four time National Champeens Georgia Tech. Well, in the 24 years prior to 2013 we were 22-2 against the basketball school from Durham. Since 2013 we are 1-3, and they are still good in basketball.

yep, they are an example on how ACC has gotten better.AT ONE TIME (2014), we lead the NATION in number of yrs having a winning record IN CONFERENCE. Not to mention having our "bowl-string" broken.
The flat fact is we are a mediocre football program now -not to mention the rest of our sports.-- Without womens tennis, this yr would be a disaster. in Directors Cup I understand.

We will never be good in the directors cup because we don't field enough teams. Can't afford to. Soccer, lacrosse, etc. don't pay the bills. And our football and basketball programs don't make enough to support the non revenue programs. Maybe with the increased TV money we can get a little better. But I'm telling you right now, football has peaked and will continue to decline until Paul Johnson is no longer our coach.

Ten years ago, Tech beat Duke 27-0 with a backup QB. Duke had like a 154 yards of total offense. I was at that game. I think there may have been 2 or 3 Duke players that could have started for Tech. Last year, Duke had more team speed and better athletes. 1-3 is no fluke. It's not like Duke is a football recruiting mecca. Their stadium looks like an overgrown FCS stadium and the seats they added sit mostly empty. Like Kentucky, they are overshadowed by the basketball program. It's an ominous sign that Tech lags behind in football.

and Duke's been up 20+ in all 3 victories. The losses weren't fluky.

with the exception of MTSU, CPJ's boys don't quit either.

But 3 of 4 to Puke is still a huge red flag IMO.

Let us say..we seem to make many mistakes at crucial times..........jumping offsides at crucial times etc.we didnt look to involved vs Ga this year either.Point is we should have bettre coaching and players than dook mainly since they were down so long but they seem to play us tough with the players they get.I think its the players buying into Cutcliff.

The 2018 2nd half vs the mutts was one of the worst coached halves of football I've ever seen. We're down, getting our assses kicked, and...rather than put up the backup OR roll out some wrinkles to the offensive play-calling, we just kept running Taquon QB Keepers. Over and over and over and over. 3 and out, 3 and out, 3 and out.

4th qtr, we're down 4 TDs. Bring in Lucas? Maybe start throwing in a hurry-up? NOPE. More TQ QB Keepers.

Lucas finally comes in just in time to take a few knees.

Un ****ing real. Just ****ty coaching by CPJ.

I think Herm Edwards would say it didn't look like Paul was "TRYING TO WIN THE GAME! ! !"
