    An OL from n.c.

God Bless him and welcome to GT. I hope he becomes an A-A.

But, and I am sorry, it appears on the surface not recruited from any other ACC school. Much less SEC. We beat elon, gsu, GSU, charlotte, app state, coastal carolina.

This is not going to cut it.

I truly think Peterson and the Hill want us out of any semblance of big time sports.

They envision our biggest rivals as gsu and elon - or club sports. Just sad.

Hope I am wrong, but results will be the proof.

And I think it has 4 years to get dramatically better or die.

Kind of agree with you ...we get little help from the BOR and the Hill to attract players and our offense just doesnt appeal in my opinion to the blue star kids.We cannot trick folks with the option like we did before and too many folks we play are getting better....still think though we win seven bu;t............we have to play good basic football.

If you read the biographies of our coaching staff, with the exception of McCollum and Preston and Ron West, none have any Division I experience other than at Tech or The Naval Academy. Not talking P5 experience--no Division I experience. That might not affect a coach's ability to teach and instruct and motivate. But it seems to me experience only at Wofford, or Southern, or USNA is not good preparation for the big time recruiting that takes place among the elites of P5 football. We are in the heart of one of the most talent rich regions in the whole country, yet we can't land even half a dozen players per class that would be real difference makers. If and when we added those quality players, the quality of the team would improve, leading to better recruiting. But we aren't making the first step. Our recruiting has been flat-lined for CPJ's entire tenure.

It's harder to project offensive lineman from high school to college (Andrew Gardner was 2 star 245 pound recruit) but this seems like a reach. I don't think you can put this one on Peterson. I don't think there is a lot of enthusiasm for o-line blocking scheme. For all the talk about injuring d-linemen, it is our o-linemen that get hurt more often.

Big difference between Andrew Gardner's two stars and this fellow's no stars, no ranking and no division I interest or offers, except for us. But you are correct, he may end up being a great one. Sometimes I equate our blocking scheme as an entire game of "crab drills". Can't be fun in practice or in games---unless you are helping us get 400 yards rushing.

6'4" and 285 lbs. A good sized lad. We'll see how he turns out.

    Good luck to him.

So I was reading what his coach said about him-"I've been here a long time and we've had some good ones (OLs), .er, he's a special kid.,-- Not the best, one of the best, just "special" hmmm
I just wish he was so special that dook and unc offered him from NC.

So am I to my mother.
