Hive partying like it is 2008

There is an article on the front page for the past few days about Lee Butler committing to Tech. If that name sounds vaguely familiar, it is because it is from 2008. Actually, Butler decommitted from Duke to Tech and then went back to Duke. The Duke coaches convinced him to be among the best even though Duke was terrible at the time. I guess it is fun to remember a year when Tech's starting DL was actually better than UGA's.

    Techie,
I don't get it.Who is this guy? I have every recruit class from '96 including 08 and the only Butler I saw was Mario in '07.
He must have been beat-out by Jon Lockhart for a position in that class.Ah, memories.

This is an article from 8 years ago. What in the world are you talking about?
"We're not here to have a Norman Vincent Peale "Power of Positive Thinking" get together or a Georgia Tech Football Revival Meeting."

    Jim Hart

"I don't think Tech will have another winning season under Paul Johnson, whether he stays another two years or ten years." 02/04/2018

He was a last minute get by Tech who originally who was commit to Duke. He then de-committed back from Tech to Duke on signing day. Butler was a DB and I think we were a little thin on DB recruits for PJ's first year. He played some at Duke but was primarily a punt returner.

Since the Hive became part of 247sports, they have articles in their header with a picture. That is the link from the article posted currently on the Hive. It's been up there for like 5 days. Not sure what is going on with their site maintenance. The funny part is the guy didn't even sign with Tech.

That's strange. Having experienced working with a network site, the technology can do weird things. It is probably a migration issue. the hive must have been a huge file to port over since they have been up like 20 years.

You may be right. The article is from 2008 but has the 247 sports web address. 247 didn't start until 2010. They may have a search engine that looked at the date of conversion and thought it was recent news.
