    Y'all think we have problems........

I just came back from Knoxville when I attended the UT Saturday night practice. Butch Jones left that place decimated in terms of recruitment. It's going to take Pruitt and company several years to turn that place around.

I wonder how much patience the UT fanbase will have for such a rebuilding.

What they need is a good recruiter. I see why they passed on ol' CPJ.

They still beat us, which is all that counts.
Although we hardly beat anyone with only 5 wins.

yep, as pathetic as they were we still lost to them
as I look back, that failed OT play was a harbinger of what was to come on Taquon, he didn't pitch the ball then and it just got worse

You are right about their recruiting area. TN is a very poor state for football talent.

Thing is, I wonder who he hired as assistants. No doubt money not a problem, and if he is sharp he would have hired recruiters first / best coaches second.

As I understand it, it was a mixture from the beginning. You would need some coaches onboard to evaluate existing talent before you'd figure out what your recruiting needs are.

and yet we have signed several guys recently --oddly we seemingly get higher quality avg guys from Tenn than from Ga to some degree now

Big thing to me is Vols will not be down long mainly due to the fans.....if it costs money they will spend it whatever it takes they will do since its about all they have going for them..It appears a bad yr for them but who knows........always remembered Dooley at Ga first yr and how they took off......it can be done but Vols are regrouping right now
