The end of college football as we know it?

We are on the eve of the season. Once again, after so many for me. There is a lot of instability in the air. Players unions, cost of attendance, autonomy, conferences with networks, realignment, health issues. Mike Slive. I really feel we are going to get a new coach after this year, and that brings upheaval, too. Are we embarking on the last recognizable season of college football? I surmise that we are. The 2015 season promises to be vastly different than what guys like me have been used to for 50 years. I understand that most of this has to happen as a result of the enormous amounts of cash that keeps rolling into the programs. Say this out loud: thery are 40 bowl games now. It's a big business, getting bigger. Things I, Yukstradamus, predict for the near future. The elimination of 20 of the present 125 FBS programs within three years. The expansion of the four team playoffs to 8 within 3 years. An SEC team winning the national championship for each of the next four years. The dissolution of the AAC and Conference USA before Obama leaves the White House. The elimination of the APR in Division Four. College football sophomores being allowed to declare for the NFL draft.

Preach on Brudda ! I think the biggest thing I see is a lack of team cohesiveness in todays teams.Guys dont go to class dont have to obey a curfew.........get into trouble with felony charges and misdemeanors and stay on the team........big donors tellng AD what they would like (in some schools)high cost of tickets etc...just not fun as it used to be.

    I, WreckoDamus, predict that we'll be a top-5 rushing team in 2014 and a bottom-10 passing team.

It will not be the end of college football though.
