    Harrison Butker: a difference maker?

I think this kid is going to be one of the best kickers in all of college football. That said, the question is: has he, and will he, account for any wins? So far he has a boatload of points because we score a lot of TD's. Do you think he will "win a game" or more for us this year? I am glad he is on our team and not kicking against us. I think he is going to put a couple of long, long FG through this year that are going to fundamentally alter the way opposing DC's defend us between the 30 and 40 yard lines.

That's a tough call. He appears to be a very-talented kicker but Johnson loves going for it in situations where he might otherwise attempt a longasss'd FG. This kid needs to start strong - boom a few 50+ yarders against the 3 Weak Sisters of the Poor we open with so that Johnson will have some confidence to trot him out in the Big Games.

I agree. When defensive coordinators know that they can't let us reach the 30 yard line, then we will see things defensively that our Genius can exploit down to the 15 yard line. From there it's a good chance for 7 and a lock for 3. That is very demoralizing for a defense.

My mother and Harrison's grandmother have been best of friends for years. When I told my mom about GT recruiting Harrison, she kept the pressure on grandma to get Harrison to sign. I know there was more to his decision but mom did her best. :-)

This is the last time I'll mention this. I promise.
