    Is the sky falling?

Or has it just changed from blue to purple polka dotted? Tyler Petite, a four star TE from. . . . . . . wait for it. . . . . Caliphukkingfornia just committed to Duke over Southern Cal. It's called recruiting, folks. Finding a player, regardless of location, identifying interest, and then going after him and getting him. Chose Duke over the trojans. I know the common thought is that Duke was a flash in the pan last year. I am leaning that way as well, until I read stuff like this. Cutcliffe knows what he is doing, and he is building a program, one kid at a time. I will be willing to bet that we don't have one recruit on our lists from west of the Mississippi.

Bah. We can't lower our recruiting standards to Duke's level! It'll hurt our diplomas!!

Yes. The sky is falling. After Duke beat us last year, they showed that they are really a superior program. That 4 star TE will take Duke to the promised land. We literally have the laziest coach/staff in America. We had a player from Hawaii sign in the last class but I heard we didn't even go see him. PJ would rather sit at home on the couch than take a free trip to Hawaii or California. What a bum.

Seriously though, would've been nice to see Cutcliffe and Kurt Roper here. But once again, GT sucks and drops the ball. But if Cutcliffe comes here, he probably wins big and leaves for greener pastures anyways.

Finally, you are starting to get it. For I while I thought you might be incapable of understanding. I'm going to reward your hard work with more and more interesting information as the year progresses.

Agree with your last sentence or paragraph.would be nice to have had Cutcliff here .One thing for sure is he can build a program but he doesnt bursts on the scene. He did well with Missisippi and Dook is improving.Nice to know we can handle them though yet its funny........in Dodd days they gave us fits.NOt sure what PJ is doing but he needs help with recruiting period..The whole ball game is now in the hands of the recruiting team it seems..........have a good fourth.

I don't know much about David Cutcliffe, and I am just making this up--but wouldn't it be a story if he had about two more double digit win seasons at Duke, Butch Jones screws the pooch in Knoxville, and Cutcliffe goes back to Rocky Top as the head coach?

Got a big orange friend who keeps up with Tenn and he said David C was or could have gottne the job but turned it down.Doubt he will get another shot but its clear the guy can coach and its clear he is solid in building his program.Folks forget that until about 1960 or so Dook football was very very good.Still remember wars with Wallace Wade vs The Grey Fox...they were tough guys to beat in Durham. Now if he wins six this year he is golden to Dook fans who have not seen winning or break even seasons in a while.

It took me a while but I've figured it out. I've been watching film the last couple of months and it finally hit me. We are the worst team in FBS and maybe the 5th best team in our own state after UGA, Ga Southern, Georgia State and Mercer. However, all we need to do is change our offensive scheme and we will win 10 games next year.
