Here is ESPN's look at our schedule challenges this season.

"Georgia Tech's 2014 schedule made this one a rather difficult choice, especially with the Yellow Jackets playing six road games."

But the silver lining is all of this means we finally get a new coach. I think NCST will be a tough game, but I saw somebody had them #88 in the preseason polls.

More like the platinum lining. That's the best thing we can realistically accomplish this season. No way I would trade 8 wins and a mediocre bowl for 5 more years of triple option football. Either win big or lose big, nothing in the middle to make it a hard decision.

Sadly, I think 8 wins, another loss to the mutts, and another dismal mediocre bowl loss gets the guy an extension. I think we'd need a losing season to get CPJ on the hot seat. Too many fans are satisfied with the current product to can him if we win 7-8 games.

This is so stupid. Gailey got canned for mediocre results. PJ will too. I love how you try to blame everything going on right now on the fans. But you demand greatness so it's everyone else's fault except yours.

Show you what goes on in AD office.I got into a arguement with sports writer for Augusta paper on firing Chan.He said that many folks had problmes firing somebody with a winning record and going to bowls every year.Of course I felt that Chan had outlived his ability with us but I do think many when faced with our win loss record says "well its so hard to get players here at tech "or we are not a football factory etc.Could print more excuses but you get the idea.I see AD in a hole next year since with our schedule we play some weak teams and we will get 600 yds rushing and the kool aide will flow. Will be very interesting next year but I think PJ stays.

The money will ultimately decide whether or not Johnson stays. If tickets sales are off and donations have dropped, he will be removed. If not, he probably won't. I doubt there is a waiting list for those luxury suites that GT loves to sell.

My pulse on the fan base is that there is a feeling of hopelessness. A resignation that the football program just can't compete anymore in the current landscape. That the problems go way beyond just coaching.

That is so stupid. I've not made my distaste of Johnson's terribly archaic scheme and its deleterious effects on our program a secret anywhere on this forum. The blame for our mediocrity is squarely at his feet, not the fans.

Really, to even begin to think that I hold the fans and not the coach responsible for the state of our program is probably the stupidest thing I've ever seen you post, Cobby.

And not one single problem of our program can be blamed on me.
