Programs that have gone to hell.

There are several traditional power programs that have completely gone (or are going) to hell, relative to the position of football royalty that they once occupied. Texas, Arkansas, Syracuse, Cal, Penn State, Cincinnati, Tennessee, Miami, Nebraska, Michigan, Florida. How many of these will stop the slide and return to glory. What do they have to do to get back to their spots in the top rankings? Who do you think will be in the next group to completely unravel? I think VPI is on the brink of collapse and the process will be complete when Beamer leaves. There are several schools with top flight coaches that will leave in the next five years that are prime candidates. Kansas State, Georgia, South Carolina to name a few.

VT may be down a few years but they recruit well and have established program.Fla will be back and so will Penn State but how soon .....Cincy not sure same with Arkie...the programs you mentioned have tradition and are well established and are backed by a great multitude of fans who will not take losing very long.Tenn is a team to watch out for and shoot......Fla has talent but not sure about the coaching..Hey most of them didnt change unis either.

I think with Bud Foster as the unofficial head coach in waiting, things could actually improve when ol cranky Franky retires (cut block whiner!). Now I can't say how good of a head coach he'll be, but he always has a hellova defense! I might even think that Bud would help to lift the program, in maybe the same way that Jimbo lifted FSU up after they booted Bowden.

Who knows what they will do but Bud finds a good OC and they may not miss a beat.

Although Penn St should've been given the death penalty, sadly they'll return to decency soon. As will UT, UF, Nebraska, and UM. Simply because those programs have fans that don't tolerate **** football and have lots of $$ to spend on finding a good coach.

Duke will return to sucking, likely this year. Fluke, is more like it. The Cocks will also likely suck once OBC retires.
