In its last four seasons, Tech is 23-25 against FBS teams. In its last four seasons under Chan Gailey (2004-07), it was 27-21 -- and that was bad enough to earn Gailey a pink slip.
Wow, has Heather been reading my posts on this board?! I've been screaming that for a year. She one-upped me and picked only FBS opponents which I never thought of, damn it! Geez, that's even worse! A losing record against FBS teams?! Someone go bomb the Utopian board with this article.

They will just counter with "who else will be able to navigate GT's current academic restrictions better than Johnson?"
DCS: "I'll give Helluva the nod on this one."

12 out of 13. When will this stop?

Bobby Godd never, not once, ever blamed his boys for a loss. It was always on his shoulders, and his shoulders alone. That is greatness. This is not. --YukonWreck

Certainly this is a board and everyone is entitled to their opinion. It is just that mine is right and yours is wrong. --91Wreck

Exactly right. Make no mistake - the majority of the Pollyanna crowd IS content with what we've been rolling out the past few years. They would not so steadfastly defend the coach if they weren't. They wouldn't still cling to the myth that this archaic scheme can work at this level if they weren't.

The lukewarm, grey stench of mediocrity has settled in on our program.

You're exactly right, but what they are really saying is that GT can't/shouldn't expect to find a coach that can have a winning record against FBS teams.

You tell me who is the better fan?

I used to have David Hale on MTM Radio back when he covered UGA for the Macon Telegraph. He's one of the few writers that I've seen who doesn't hesitate to tell it like it is and criticize a coach if he isn't getting the job done.

Kind of think you are spot on with the mediocrity level we are experiencing at Tech.Seven wins with occasional big wins ,a low bowl and loss to georgie is becoming normal. We get little help from the Hill,do not recruit well and onlly lead the ACC in one category and that is...........excuses.Time to go back to basis and win and win and win.
