Georgia Tech Football and My Dad's Dog

I remember one day visiting my day who was late 70s at the time. He had a cocker spaniel who has about 10 years and on her last legs. My dad said to the dog, "You and I have a lot in common. We both have a lot more yesterday's than we do tomorrows."

Paul Johnson has a lot in common with my deceased dad and his deceased cocker spaniel. Paul has a lot more yesterdays as Georgia Tech's head coach, than he does tomorrows.

That could happen but we win eight and go to bowl and lose to Georgie and he is hero to many and we are back in the same boat next yr.I think Hill will keep him.

Who said I liked what Paul Johnson is doing? Can you provide evidence?

You could put Danny Hall and Brian Gregory in that same category.

CPJís success or failure is totally dependent on the decisions he makes. He doesnít have to worry about a hostile takeover or merger and he has a very lucrative employment contract.

And, based upon his reported comments, it seems he believes everything he is doing is exactly what must be done.

So, after 7 years to build his program he may well be on the way out if the win/loss numbers donít improve against the major opponents.

I really donít think the fan base cares a hoot about GT beating up on a FCS school.

VT has a spot in their trophy case reserved for the National Championship and they schedule the toughest teams that will play them.

We have 4 National Championships and as one sports writer recently said, we are the last team in Georgia to have won one.

So, yes, if CPJ doesnít start getting it done, he is done.

Whenever someone criticizes Paul Johnson, you lash out at them. So you are either a big Paul Johnson fan or you just like to you just like to be annoying. A criticism of Paul Johnson does not give you carte blanche to be an A-Hole. Go find another hobby.

This board will be here long after you are gone.
