Don't mention Bey- Bey, he was coached for 2 years by Gailey's WR coach, and he was good at getting a lot of game day production out of GT's WRs.

CPJ came in and after he got his fat contract has done nothing but make a bunch of "discount hires" with his Assts. and it shows at positions like WR and OL.

orrrr, maybe Hill just isn't that good. Stephen Hill isn't the first pro-day/combine warrior to be a bust in the NFL. It happens. But, never miss an opportunity to blame CPJ for something! lol.

And we're not allowed to mention Demaryius? You really think he didn't develop at all as a Wide Reciever during his time under CPJ? C'mon, man. His stats nearly doubled from 2008-2009. But, sure, that was all from his time under Gailey's WR coach.

    OK.

If Bey-Bey Thomas was born to be 6-0 185 pounds do you think that CPJ's system would have gotten him drafted in the first round?

GT had a crappy passing game and all the passes went to one guy, DT, also because DT was 6-3 230 lbs. he could take a "smoke route" and turn it into a 60-70 yd. TD.

If CPJ is such a good HC and WR developer, please explain WHY the "smoke route" left GT's offense the same time that Thomas did?

Why hasn't CPJ developed M. Summers into the same smoke-route WR that DT was?

Isn't that a RS-Soph. in his case, that means he's going into his 3rd yr. out of HS, at other BCS programs guys are getting ready to test the NFL waters and our guys that are 3 years out of HS aren't even close to making 5th team All-ACC.

Our Depth is so poor because of CPJ's horrible Recruiting, in many cases players aren't "ready for game time" until they are RS-Jrs. in their 4 yr. out of HS and by the time they adjust to game experience they are gone without having made any positive impact on GT FB.

If CPJ's RS program was paying dividends then we would see an impact from several RS-FRESHMEN each yr. going into their 2nd year out of HS, the fact that we don't, means that CPJ is not recruiting at the right level for a BCS conference.

Yep, it's Paul Johnson's fault that Stephen Hill drops the football when he is WIDE FREAKING OPEN!

I wish there could be one, just one thread without some freaking idiot douching up what could be a decent discussion. But that's where this board has gone.

I have no idea. He probably would not have been drafted in the first round at 6' 185 pounds. Calvin wouldn't have, either. I'm not trying to argue that CPJ is a WR guru. Clearly, he's not. I'm just saying that it's okay to give him at least a little credit for Bey-Bey's success, and it's ridiculous to blame him for Stephen Hill's troubles in the NFL.

CPJ has a pretty decent set of WR's right now. If Smelter, Waller, and Autry all stagnate in their development, then you will have the evidence to back up your position.

CobbTech, I hear ya, man. lol.

I have to agree with your sarcasm.

The Jets must have never watched any film on Hill other than his highlights. No surprise here. This has nothing to do with PJ. Hill has some great physical tools, but he's just not a very good football player. A significant amount of the game is between the ears.
