I'd put us higher than that. The current HC is getting over $2.5 million annually yet has dismal records against our arch-rival, the ACC's top-tier schools, and bowl games. Plus, many Tech fans are content with 7-win seasons, 2 of which are against CupCake St U. The bar is set low, the pay is high, alumni don't take your weak recruiting to task, and your school's academics prevent you from recruiting the complete loser types seen at uga and elsewhere. Plus, you can golf year-round and you're in a large metropolis so if you ever exceed expectations, you'll be noticed quickly.

    I think GT's a pretty good gig.

Georgia Tech is a miserable gig. Look at the coaches that have left of their own accord-Fulcher, Curry, Ross, O'Leary. The fan base has ridiculous expectations, a huge tradition, a rigorous curriculum, and an oppositional administration. But even with all that, I would put us fifth or sixth. Carolina just seems to be a hell hole if you are interested in football. I really know very little about Louisville, but I can't imagine a coach choosing to go there instead of Tech. Pittsburgh? Ha! I've been there, no thanks. NCST? A bunch of wannabees. Raleigh is nice, but it isn't Atlanta, and the Wolfpack hasn't won four championships.
