    State of the Program

In the past 4 years: 28-25 (52.8%) ~ 7 wins (including 3 "gimmies" every year) which is worse than what got Gailey fired
Combined record of teams defeated in past 4 years is below .500

    1-5 Bowls
    1-5 VT
    1-5 Miami
    1-5 UGA
    1-15 vs Big 4 since 2010
2-8 vs ranked teams since 2010
    Recruiting - not good

Outlook for 2014? Best players are gone - Thomas, Attachou, RG and yes, Vad. Any reason to believe the OL will be better? Less talent on both sides of the ball than last year.

What is there to be excited about? Custis is about it and the guy hasn't taken a snap yet.

The program is not trending up at all. Sorry to be so down, but these are the facts as I see them.

Hell Helluva I told my friends I don't even want to talk about GT football any more. That POS we (not me) call a coach is just as worthless as tit's on a boar hog! This POS has got to go. This from an old man who saw his first Tech game in the mid 40's and hundreds there after.

Mack are you optimistic at 8 wins? Me I'm looking at the usual 7-5 or maybe 6-6 since we have Pitt at Pitt.

Well I take the first three as wins......then I think we can whip Duke but it will be tough.......NCS is not on good footing and neither is NC ....that puts us at six and I like our chances vs VT even if its up there and Miami is beatable........yeah go with 8 but only.........if we play good football. Many have said on the other board that PJ must win the coastal to keep his job..this remains to be seen but with a little more defense we may do it.....of course JT or who ever the qb is may be either a bust or a Heisiman guy and our line must get better but see six to eight games winnable or we are at least equal before we play them.Ga is in my opinion the only game we should be not have favorable odds..........

Unfortunately I agree that Paul needs to go, but he could win 8-9 next year just because the schedule is so easy

Hell, it's not a given that Justin Thomas will be better than Vad...certainly not in 2014.

The only thing he was clearly better at was pitching the ball on the option. I guess that's a big deal since it's 1/3 of our offense, but who is he going to be pitching it to this year that can do something with the ball in their hands? Will the OL block this year? A lot of Vad's and the offense's problem was that the pitch was smothered.

JT handing off to Laskey and pitching to Days, Andrews, etc. Somebody wake me up in 2015 when PJ is gone!

JT showed last year that he had some serious speed, and in the Miami game, Byerly showed serious promise with the option. Byerly is the perfect backup to JT because hes not that fast but can run over a starting defense, so if the pitch isn't there, Byerly can still make something happen if JT can't. The biggest worry for me is the AB but I am scared every year and so far its all been good even if not great at that position. My second biggest worry is the play calling. I know that I don't know the option as well or have as much experience as CPJ, but some of his calls especially in the Ole Miss game were horrible. That being said, I am looking forward to a better year.

If you're referencing the Miami game, be careful. A lot of that work was done in garbage time, so take it with a grain of salt.
