The REAL battle we are losing is in living rooms.

Would you send your kid to this program if he were NFL talent? Really? We have 2-star players trying to block and tackle 4 & 5-star recruits. With very few exceptions it doesn't work.

It's time to take bold action to give bright, young and talented recruits a better option at the flats. The rest of it is all symptomatic.

I've only been a fan for 4 decades, but has there ever been a time when GT recruited top talent? I figure it had to back in the days of Dodd & prior when young men went to college for academics first & sports second.

I am really tired of the "star" analysis.

Analyze it however you want but you have to ask yourself...do you see any NFL prospects on the field for Tech today? We know what we saw over the past 20 years when we put player after player in the NFL. Recruiting IS at a worse standard today than anytime in the past 25 years . Forget the star system, even a fool can see we aren't getting the type of athlete we need to compete.

The tough academic requirement does have an impact but it provides more of an excuse to those who don't know better than it does on actual recruiting. I, like you, have been around it for 4 decades. The "academic" excuse was thrown around in the late 70's and 80's just like it is today. That was one national championship, many, many NFL draft picks and a bunch of competitive teams ago and here we go again with the same tired BS coming from supporters who choose to look the other way or have very short memories.

The system is broken because of poor planning, oversight and execution. It's time right now for a change.

Forget 'Would I send my kid'. Does my kid watch our games and even want to be a part of our program? If any of YOU was a top-notch HS talent, would YOU really want to come to GT and play for Paul Johnson right now?

We're a boring-as-hell team to watch, sorry. Paul Johnson is Hewitting our football program. Am tired of dancing around this.

I think that is where the SEC excels at recruiting.

Boring, predictable, limited, and unproductive offense--17 year olds love this kind of stuff
