Interesting article on the stat busters - I thought GT would be there until ....

I thought GT might get a mention until she mentioned total points per game. We are really good at busting out the big yards per game numbers, but the big point totals seem to elude us.

We aren't good at finishing drives I guess. We did score 50+ Three times last year. 40+ four times.

We have yet to see the total potential of this offense unleashed. Our lack of a passing game held us back the last couple of years. You have to be able to hurt the defense in multiple ways, especially if they can take away one or two of the things you like to do.

With Vad at qb, we'll have a better passing and qb keeper threat. I think the dive will become a bigger weapon, as well, as teams will gamble on using MLB's and safeties to clog up our running lanes wide like USC. You all saw how that worked out for them. CPJ will have a lot more room to "play chess" with multiple facets of the offense working. It'll just be a matter of who guesses right on a given play as to it's success. When they guess right, we lose a down. When they guess wrong, we'll be gaining yards in big chunks.

If in pursuit of your destination, you plunge ahead, heedless of obstacles, and achieve nothing more than to sink in a swamp... What's the use of knowing True North?"

You could also say we never got to see the full potential of Chan's offense unleashed. Or most any offense, for that matter.

True, but we now have the player(s) capable of making it happen. Vad or Justin or both, possess all the tools necessary to make it happen and as we all know, the qb is the most critical part of any offense. On top of that, we have the most experienced and athletic OL in the CPJ era. Good times are right around the corner, boys!

We would score more points if we sped up the game. CPJ has (wisely) decided to play slow to limit the number of possessions and keep the D off the field. I don't ever see that changing, even with a stellar D if we get so lucky!

for all of those folks who think we are going to turn into a passing avalanche ,think of our WRs-it takes 2 to tango(even using the backs),
we just don't have any proven WRs-how do you not have ANY WR starters 2 yrs in a row?
btw-saw that Autry and T Henry may miss Spring- gulp

Easy, guys leave the program before their eligibility is up: Moore, Greene, Hill. Btw, Waller has a ton of snaps and some starts as well.
