Does the ACC have it in for us getting to the ACCCG on a "fluke" last year? Seems like it with this schedule, highlighted by VT 5 days after UNC with Miami 9 days later. Not to mention the open date on the second week of the season. If we make it through this, we deserve any accolades we get.

Playing VT on 5 days rest stinks but other than that, I don't see a big deal? Miami in 9 days sounds good. They are probably griping too, they will have 5 days as well albeit after an easier opponent but throw in less time to prepare for our interesting offense and maybe it's a wash?
This from the VT fan board:

and then there's this gem:Seriously, only four days to prep for GT? Yet we get a week off before Duke and UVA? Thanks, ACC.
and the coups de grace:GT away on 3 day prep, nice
I'd wager if you visited all the fan boards, you'll find fans who are either way down on their team, or think the ACC has it in for them. Then again, you have some rational fans across the boards, as well. All is well, good and normal in cyberland.Sure losses: Bama, GT. Sure wins: Western Carolina, UVA. Every other game I wouldn't be amazed if we won or lost, but I'll go with we lose only to Pitt (they just seem to have our number) and at Miami, where we never seem to play well lately. Realistically, we go 8-4, probably finish 2nd in the ACC Coastal to either GT or Miami.
"A compass, I learnt when I was surveying, it'll... it'll point you True North from where you're standing, but it's got no advice about the swamps and deserts and chasms that you'll encounter along the way. If in pursuit of your destination, you plunge ahead, heedless of obstacles, and achieve nothing more than to sink in a swamp... What's the use of knowing True North?"
