I don't like the short week heading into VT. Are they on full rest?

Thanks Swafford! UNC, VT, and @ Miami in 14 days, UNC gets bye before they play us, and a week 2 bye for us! Don't like it. Only positive is we get 12 Days between Pitt and Clemson and then basically 16 days till UGAY so we should be pretty rested.

    List of opponents prior weeks:

    Duke: Memphis (Bye for Tech)
Miami: USF (VT but on Thursday so have 9 days)
    UNC: Bye (@Duke for Tech)
    Pitt: Navy (@UVA for Tech)
    UVA: Duke (Cuse for Tech)
    VT: Marshall (UNC)
    Clemson: Bye (Bye)
    Cuse: NCST (@BYU)

I see advantages for Pitt, Miami, UNC, and VT based on the opponents we play compaired to the oppoents they play prior to our game.

VT has 5 days just like us to get ready. However they play Marshall and we play UNC the week before, which looks to give them a bit of an advantage. I thought well at least they gave us a bye before the Thursday at Clemson, but no advantage there either as Clemson also has a bye.

I think this works out great for us. The early bye is not a bad thing. It's an extra week of "camp" to hone the offense that always starts the season slow. We don't hit a real test, unless you count Duke, until week 4. It's also allows our up and coming young DL more time to learn the ropes before the meat of the schedule.

The biggest thing I like is that VT has a short week before us. Yes, they have 3 patsies before us, but they still have to prep for those offenses and can't turn their full attention to us until just a few days before the game. I think it's the consecutive days of repping against our scheme in practice that gives them the most benefit of more time. They won't have that.
