Good game today, we are getting to see what we have under the hood. 10-1 was a nice score.

Pitching is much deeper this year than last when we had many injured starters. We'll find out how good we are later when we get to ACC play.
One other bright spot is that through 7 games, we have only committed 4 errors. 2 each in two different games. That is a lot better than last year when we had more self inflicted wounds.
Finally, I had to go back and look to see how many players we have who have been drafted for MLB but chose instead to play for GT. Its 9. I don't know how that compares to other teams, but it seems a lot. They are:
Farmer - 2009 drafted 46th round and 2012 drafted 15th round
Thomas - 2009 - 37th; 2012 - 4th
Palka - 2010 - 19th
Smelter 2010 - 14th (Hurt pitcher last year)
Wren 2012 - 30th
Murray - 2011 - 48th
Pitts - 2011 - 32nd
Sheffield - 2011 - 49th
Gonzalez (aka Speedy) - 2012 - 11th
Not surprisingly, these 9 guys make up our 5 top hitters and two top pitchers so far this year. I guess the MLB draft is better than football stars?![]()
Good deal, let's keep it up.

11 out of 12. When will this stop?
