Clemson fans worried about GT next season

Saw this on TOS, nice to get an outside opinion (from someone who sees us a lot) once in a while:

Just listened to Clemson's flagship station(all I get in the boonies) and they are discussing how tough GT will be if Ted Roof can get more than a couple 3 and outs a game. One guy said "holy moly, we can't give Paul Johnson more turns at bat. Can you imagine the lopsided time of possession that would create. Talk about creating an even more difficult matchup for the tigers". So we do have people,other than us Techies, believing we may be bad ass.

I don't get it. Ted Roof hasn't been at any one particular place to get an accurate read on how good he is as a defensive coordinator and the places he's served at for more than 2 years, Duke & Auburn, the defenses weren't very good.

Clemson hasn't had a good D in a while. They should be worried, especially If TW can hang 30 whatever on them.

Don't know what TR has done to warrant concern on their part though.

Actually as I recall, Penn State was pretty fair country good. Sooner or later we have to be evidence-based. But other than that, everybody knows we are afraid of Clemson, and they are not afraid of us. It was in all the papers. And on this board, so it must be true.

They ought to be scared BUT the conference is giving them homefield AGAIN I believe.

Clemson is and should be afraid of Tech. We've pretty much owned them the past ten years, and the series win ratio is about 2:1 in our favor. Plus, we stole that coach of theirs here a while back.

As a person who lives around almost nothing but Clemson and South Carolina fans, I can safely tell you Clemson fans are way more considered about us than we are about them (at least from my personal level of concern and from what I am gathering from most posts by yo guys). Also, I am fairly certain that we beat them more than they beat us.

A perennially-overrated team (just 1 year removed from giving up 70 pts to WVU in the OB) is worried about us? Lemme guess - the Tarholes are worried about us too?

They should be. It was all even, at Tigger Town, in the 4th quarter. Despite our ricketty offense and Groh's defense. It's true, if Roof can manufacture a punt or two per game and Vad starts to really "get it" this could be 1998 again, you never know.....
