Assuming Paul Johnson stays our coach for another, say, 7 years-----and the ACC remains intact in something similar to its present form, what is the over/under for Georgia Tech appearances in a BCS bowl game? Someone pointed to being in the Orange Bowl for the first time since Jesus was a midshipman as being a great achievement, so when will we go again? You have 10 seconds.
Here's mine: zero.
I think we go to Orange Bowl due to fact the ACC owns it.Not like old days when the bowl was for really good teams nationwide.I think the luster of going to a bowl is at the lowest ebb I have seen in my time. Now six and your in.......not like days when you had national ranking on line....Not so sure we do much better than Orange but always want to have that goal in mind.
It's gonna be fun seeing you with a whole mouthful of crow next season.

It can happen but the guy will definitely have to make adjustments in his coaching..
We almost made it to the Orange Bowl last year even with as bad a season as we had. Let s not forget that we were very much in the hunt at the end of the season even if UM hadn't taken the post season ban. I think that says a lot about our chances moving forward. I refuse to believe that the rest of the teams in our division are going to be light years ahead of us the next few seasons. More then likely the ACC will continue to have the same parity that is has the past few years which means we have as good of a chance as anyone of making it. And no I'm not arguing that we'd be world beaters making it or that it holds the same prestige as it once did, but then we didn't make the rules of who gets in and who doesn't. Yuke you really are the most bi-polar poster on here. I see so many good sane comments from you and then you come at us with silliness like this.
You have standing in this case my friend. Just dont see that many teams that are so much better than we are but they do know how to win.VT is example of having less but winning more.I think what helps us is the schooils like Dook,NCS and VA and maybe Wake have not decided to make football the main thing in town.Since they do have liberal art education............they sure can attract folks to play for them and when they do..........we may be in big trouble. Lets face it in my humble opinion the ACC is Basket Ball conferance period.Clemson used to lose four games and win it with ease.It is clear to me that VT and FSU and Miami are blessed with good athletests and coaches and have such a easy time getting good players than we do .Guess seven wins and beating the big uns every now and then is realistic goal ..........although still have white hot hatred for GA and ............those awful unis.
