    Earliest memory of Tech football?

With it being the offseason, and spring practice a few months away I figured I'd ask this question. So, what's your earliest memory of GT football?

Mine is watching the JV game in 1989, and seeing a young Freshman named William Bell run through a bunch of puppies like they were in slow motion. Tech dominated 56-0, and I asked my Dad "Why does Georgia stink so badly? This is great!" Ah to be 8 years old again. If I'm not mistaken that was the last year the JV game was played as freshman were allowed to play in 1990.

    So, what's yours?

1956 Gator bowl game. Tech beat Pitt. My family has just moved to Jacksonville from Memphis Tn. 5 years later I was on the Tech campus knocking heads on the flats.

It was either 1945 or 46. GT vs Navy in Annapolis Md. Tech won and that day I became a Techie.

There were others, like when family used to visit Atlanta and North Avenue Presbyterian Church, I couldn't have been more than 10, I met Coach Bobby Dodd (parents already knew him), he said to come see him when I was older.

Earliest actual memory was when we went to the game where GT played UM in Miami, the game that Lenny Snow blew out his knee.
In the past GT football has often been JUST GOOD ENOUGH TO BREAK YOUR HEART!

I believe we are on the way to getting where we all want to be - Win Championships, and be more competitive with UGa and Bowl Games.

QB's looking up, WR's coming along(?), Welcome CTR, CMP and new AD, We have some good recruiters with a good class coming, Stamps back to ST's, all 3 phases should be better this year than last. We have team speed to match anyone we play.

    What's not to like?

2000 when F$U role into town with #1 rank. Tech almost pull it off, but not quite. As usual, we find ways to lose the game late in the 4th Quarter, because they have more horses then we do. Bobby Dobb stadium was electric. Hope we have that kind of atmosphere every game at BDS.

Not from GA. My first memories of GT were of Joe Ham. I was a kid and used to look up his stat lines in the paper.
First really got into Tech when Calvin was playing (Johnson, not Booker...).

Holy crap! I'm pretty old so the memory fades, but I am sure it must have been 1954 or 1955 at the Scottish Rite game. Of course somewhere in Lilburn there is a size 2, gold satin tour jacket with my name on the back.

First game I went to was the 2007 Boston College game when Matt Ryan shellacked us. Haha, never thought I'd be cheering for the guy.
