CPJ seriously needs to find a way to make this speed productive on the football field. Here's one way out of the BB:
Or he can line him up at AB and run 4 verticals all day long if all Snoddy can do is run in a straight line...
Can anyone else remember the last time that GT had this kind of potential team speed (as there is on this roster) to put on the field?
In the past GT football has often been JUST GOOD ENOUGH TO BREAK YOUR HEART!
I believe we are on the way to getting where we all want to be - Win Championships, and be more competitive with UGa and Bowl Games.
QB's looking up, WR's coming along(?), Welcome CTR, CMP and new AD, We have some good recruiters with a good class coming, Stamps back to ST's, all 3 phases should be better this year than last. We have team speed to match anyone we play.
What's not to like?
All he has to do is cut off another .3 seconds and the WR is his! All from just another 3 star. 60 metres - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Seriously, this is crazy how fast he is getting. I know it's a lot of technique that is enhancing his natural ability, but at this short of a distance some of this speed has to transfer over to football speed.
Look at Snoddy's 40 two years ago - 4.42 seconds. Then check out other players. Scout.com: Football Recruiting
Then look at 2012 - Thomas and Summers are faster ..... Scout.com: Football Recruiting
This year we have 3 in the 4.4 to 4.5 range. Speed kills.
All it will take is a few big pass plays and then defenses will have to honor the speed. But until it translates to yards / points on the field, the defenses will stop the run first. I see Snoddy in a crossing pattern across the middle where he can just out burn anyone in the secondary. A quick hitter and let him do the rest.

If he keeps shaving time off his runs at this rate, by the time he's a senior, he'll be running a sub 5 60m and he'll probably be the fastest guy in the history of mankind!!!
With all that speed, he might contribute on special teams or something...
As for JT, he'll probably get a lot of PT at QB this year. From all reports, he's picked up the offense a lot faster than Vad did when he was redshirting. It's going to be an interesting dynamic with Vad if JT gets a lot of PT.
As for Snoddy, I really hope CPJ finds a place to maximize his speed. If we're going more Pistol/Redskins, I can see him being a good back out of there. Not necessarily our best back out of it, but probably more productive than out of the flexbone since the BB is so physically demanding and Snoddy isn't that big of a guy. Snoddy really needs to work on his agility and one cut ability. He's not going to run 60m in a straight line too often on the football field.
Hope to see this translate into points/yards on the FB field.
