    McCollum's Job as Recruiting Coordinator

I waited to after signing day to make this post. I have a question about Andy McCollum's job as a recruiting coordinator, is he a strong recruiter?? In my opinion this guy has done a poor job as both a asst coach on the defensive line and as recruiting coordinator, so I'm asking if anyone has any inside knowledge of his coaching and recruiting results. I can attest that his defensive lines were poor, and it seems that so is his job as a coordinator.

Hard to say. Just my opinion, but he probably does not get a lot of help from the head man. In fact CPJ might be like a boat anchor. How can you blame him for the defensive line play---we had no quality linemen, and Groh for two and a half years.

Joe Speed is getting kids from Maryland & New Jersey to come to Tech I can't put McCollum's lack of recruiting on CPJ even Lamar seems to have been a better recruiter.

McCollum is recruiting coordinator not Chief Recruiter or whatever you guys want to fantasize the position into being. His job is to coordinate visits among the staff with the recruits. It's not to be the "bag man" who convinces all the blue chips to sign with GT.

Sheesh. Some guys just want to complain so bad they fabricate things to complain about.

If in pursuit of your destination, you plunge ahead, heedless of obstacles, and achieve nothing more than to sink in a swamp... What's the use of knowing True North?"

Fact of the matter most of the complainers have no idea what
McCollum's job is. They just want to complain.

Yep. The Recruiting Coordinator title sounds way more important than what it actually is.

And we've just gotten two guys in Roof and Pelton that are already paying dividends. I expect recruiting to take a substantial notch up next year.

The guy who coordinates visits among staff and recruits is Liam Klein.

McCollum's job is to visit and convince players to attend Georgia Tech. cheese, you really don't know much about how GT or college football recruiting works yet you continue to have these "big opinions."

I'll make it a point to set aside time to come on here more often to continue your training.
