Today's College Football Recruiting is INSANITY

Reading about how these young guy's minds work and the way they make decisions would drive me crazy. You can say that CPJ is doing a bad job at recruiting but how in the world can 'any' coach make a methodical, systemic approach to recruiting these nitwits. It's like chasing greased pigs, these high school football players don't know what they want to do the next minute, much less months from now. I think they all live in LaLa Land.....

I think these crazy press conferences are ridiculous. Just sign the freakin LOI and send it in. The dog and pony show isn't necessary.

How else can some of these cretins (and their handlers) have their 15 minutes of fame?

Down here high school coaches drive a lot of the hoopla. Supplying quality recruits bolsters the program's reputation and gets the coach on TV and in the papers and the Twittesphere. It is a reward for the kids too, and a motivator for the next class.
