Lane Kiffin takes blame for USC Trojans 2012 season -- college football - ESPN
One of the USC players had this to say about their loss to GT:
"It was like getting boat-raced by a high school football team."
Well, guess what kid. Too bad. You suck. So go home and sleep.
Tells me that they cannot even beat a HS football team in a boat race.
impressive....
In the past GT football has often been JUST GOOD ENOUGH TO BREAK YOUR HEART!
I believe we are on the way to getting where we all want to be - Win Championships, and be more competitive with UGa and Bowl Games.
QB's looking up, WR's coming along(?), Welcome CTR, CMP and new AD, We have some good recruiters with a good class coming, Stamps back to ST's, all 3 phases should be better this year than last. We have team speed to match anyone we play.
What's not to like?
Yeah....but this picture from the article is great

Nah. High school stuff. And what in tarnation is a "boat race" anyway, other than, well, a race between boats? (and judging from USC's record, they got "boat-raced" a bunch in the last three years, and big time in '12. (Go back and look at that game and particularly the sideline shots of USC in shock and dismay that they were getting manhandled so easily. Next time I hope they give us a game.)
Whiney little pricks aren't they?
I love it.
"We're not here to have a Norman Vincent Peale "Power of Positive Thinking" get together or a Georgia Tech Football Revival Meeting."
Jim Hart
Just in case Jim gets a wild hair and shuts us down abruptly, in the words of the cook on the Edmund Fitzgerald, "Fellas it's bin good t'know ya!"
Some of those guys still think the name "USC" scares people. It ain't 2006 anymore son! YOU STINK!!
Worst alibi I ever heard! Maybe this plays well in LA but its weak here in the heartlands.
Well we sure as hell look like a high school team. Maybe get some better-looking unis (I won't even go into the offense) and we won't be on the receiving end of such disparaging remarks.
DCS: "I'll give Helluva the nod on this one."
11 out of 12. When will this stop?
Bobby Godd never, not once, ever blamed his boys for a loss. It was always on his shoulders, and his shoulders alone. That is greatness. This is not. --YukonWreck

1. boat raced
To be beaten very badly at something, especially in such a fashion that you were behind from the start and never had a chance. Comes from the Boat Race, an annual rowing competition between Oxford and Cambridge, in which the first side to get ahead can move to the middle of the river (where the current is fastest) and is almost never overtaken thereafter.
