Thanks Lexjacket. I was 7 when Tech won the Sun Bowl. I have some vague memories of the game watching it on a black and white TV. I was at the Tech-UGA game in 1970. I didn't remember that Tech wore gold and UGA wore red for that game.

Thanks Lex-I was a soph/junior in 1970. That was the season that many point to as Carson turning the corner but even tho it was a decent year, it was well below preseason expectations. We looked pretty good tho, didn't we? Originally Posted by Lexjacket

I went to that Sun Bowl game, then visted mexico that evening. Rather interesting.
