    Conference realignment coming?

I read an article on the Rivals website for the University of Texas that speculated that more conference realignment might be coming. It said that the Big 12 might be pulling up to six schools out of the ACC including GT. Has anyone heard anything about the likelihood of this happening?

I thought they where considering more of a partnership with the ACC and two other unspecified conferences.

Does make for some great off season conversation..................

It's always fun to talk about but can we at least agree that nothing is going to happen until the Maryland lawsuit is complete.

I ask that everyone who has heard of a "source" that says GT is going to jump/move to X conference "early next week" "stay tuned" add to this count. I'll start: 1

Myopinion: I had rather join Conference USA, Big East, or Big South than a conference two time zones away.
We have nothing in common with any of the schools. Ask Texas A&M, Missouri, or Colorado why they left.

I don't think the Big 12 is even faintly realistic. There is nothing in common.

Be have nothing in common with the SEC either......except ancient history.

We are in Alabama's fight song....that's more history than we have in the ACC. The SEC is where we belong all, the others a jokes.

I thought I remember that when the new AD came and was interviewed, didn't he say something to the effect that GT was right where it needed to be, here in the ACC?
In the past GT football has often been JUST GOOD ENOUGH TO BREAK YOUR HEART!

I believe we are on the way to getting where we all want to be - Win Championships, and be more competitive with UGa and Bowl Games.

QB's looking up, WR's coming along(?), Welcome CTR, CMP and new AD, We have some good recruiters with a good class coming, Stamps back to ST's, all 3 phases should be better this year than last. We have team speed to match anyone we play.

I got nothing against he ACC. I think we are a good place, but if more money comes calling we would be stupid to reject it.....

Hence or mistake of leaving the SEC....

I think the ACC overall is a better fit for all Georgia tech sports, ladies and men. some conferences don't care one bit about ladies sports....and some men sports are not supported by most schools.

If we had remained in the SEC we could be right up there with Vanderbilt in the Conference standings.
