Speaking of ol' wrecky, he's still trolling the AJC comments and every time he posts, about a half dozen peiople flame him big time. I just saw a new example in the responses to the new AD article by Ken. I love it!

I'm guessing he meant: pistol formation >>>> Flexbone.

    But, that's only a guess...

It's no secret that PJ is installing the Pistol because we finally have the passers for it, but maybe it's also because the Flexbone is unnatural for Vad.

He is inferring what he wants but what Paul Johnson is too stubborn to implement.

11 out of 12. When will this stop?

Bobby Godd never, not once, ever blamed his boys for a loss. It was always on his shoulders, and his shoulders alone. That is greatness. This is not. --YukonWreck

Yeah, we run plays out of a formation we haven't implemented.

Granted, it's been slim pickings thus far, but PJ said we'd see more next year. I think most of that is due to talent. We haven't had a reliable arm until now. Think about that - how long it's taken us to get a guy with a reliable arm - that's how tough recruiting is at GT. Correct me if I'm wrong, but even Chan The Messiah never had one.

There will definitely be more pistol next year. I imagine JT is more comfortable in it as well. I think they should use Snoddy as the man that comes across the formation.

Given that we are even talking about this, it shows how slow things are.

Let's see what we get at the Spring game. I always expected more pistol and passing next year. One thing I haven't seen us do is line up under center and then when the D sets, switch back into pistol.

When it comes to passing, we certainly have the speed to stretch the D. Now we have a QB (Vad) who can get the ball there. The last step will be to catch it. But for us to pass the ball, we have to get better at it. For the four games last year that we passed more than 16 times, we lost. I don't see us going to a pass first offense by any means, but I see our yearly QB rating going from 150's to 180's on about 12 to 14 passes a game. cfbstats.com - 2012 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Passing Offense Game Log
