Some commentors were saying the source may be untrustworthy. But if true, this story does not surprise me. What a bunch of babies!

The LAT reported today that Kifffin and USC have lost five top recruits since the Sun Bowl. Wonder how much of it had to do with being made to look so bad, and how much of it was Kiffin glowering on the sideline like the Unibomber. Shoot, for awhile I thought he was in the witness protection program.

It's not very flattering to continuously hear how embarrassing their loss was to us. It's not just because of the score ya know.

According to Scout, USC still has the best recruiting class in the country by average stars by a large margin. Scout.com: Football Recruiting

Of course the underclassmen were pissed off. USC's loss to us in a national bowl game was worse than us losing under the radar to MTSU. I'd have been really pissed too since USC didn't really fight that hard and we did.

I think Barkley made a career decision not to risk a recently injured shoulder when he needs to get ready for the combine. He was acting for himself and not the team. But when you recruit players just so they can grab the golden ring of getting into the NFL, this makes sense.

not just the score but how little the Condoms appeared to give a damn about playing football. Any opponent would've defeated them that day. They should be glad it was us, rather than some minor-league no-name school like, say, Middle Tenn St.

Well, what else do you expect? There was a reason we were the underdog...

Sadly, I don't think it's in the cards for GT to return to an era where we're favored against teams like USC, unless top recruits start watching Big Bang Theory and all want to become engineers.

Beating team that's ranked higher than you: disappointing, because it means there was a team ranked higher than you.
Beating team that's ranked lower than you: whatever, you were supposed to.

You captured the essence of the Debbie Downer GT fan. Kudos.

Wow Stylee, you managed to convey succinctly, what I've always felt, but was unable to put into words about certain board members. It is almost as if, nothing GT ever does is enough. Win against MD. Eh, their D is crappy. Win against UNC. Eh, their D is crappy. They didn't play any real teams. Lose against BYU. GT should never be losing to BYU. Basically, any team that we beat is crappy. And any team that we lose to is a team that we should have beaten. I totally understood what CPJ once said in his presser about how some fans were selectively picking out teams to make a point. You lost to VT, UGA and Miami X number of times. You suck. Well, what about the times, we beat Clemson, UNC and FSU? Does that not count? Some guys don't like to be happy, I guess.
