I am surprised they have not had a press conference for the Ted Roof hire. The school has already announced it in a press release. I saw where they put in the announcement that he had to undergo a routine background check, but hopefully that is not holding things up. He needs to be out on the road this weekend representing Tech recruiting. Had anybody heard anything about this? Can he call recruits now as a representative of Tech? If he has officially resigned from PSU and not officially hire at Tech, does he have any recruiting limitations on talking to and visiting recruits?
A good point. And it is remindful that, unless I have missed it, there has been no "official" announcement that Kelly is leaving. Is something going or are those folks in "public affairs" just screwing up? Is Kelly gone? Is Roof here? When is the night train to Baltimore?
The sooner Roof gets here the better so he can help "his def turf" in recruiting. It might be a good idea to do that as I heard it might have been a problem........hmmmm
So almost a week later and still no press conference or detailed interview with CPJ and Ted Roof. No interview with CPJ about new defensive line coach. No interview with how this affects the other defensive assistants on staff. No interview or press conference with the new AD. Even saw a rumor where he wasn't he starting until April 1st. What is going on? Did the GT public relations and media department get laid off? Are the Tech beat writers to busy covering basketball to get all the latest interviews. This is all really strange.

Someone should peg Ken Siguera about it. He seems sincere in his attempts to get the story. I'll bet he would provide some insight.
Go JACKETS! THWG!
Roof is busy recruiting!!
