It appears that this fella is coming to play OL here, as a walk-on!

When you focus on building a walk-on program you have to give schollies to the guys who earn 'em or they won't come. We've been doing that and it's starting to pay dividends with guys like Byerly & Brigham coming. Godhigh also was comitted at Wofford and had offers from GSU, Furman, and Western Carolina, but chose to walk-on at Tech and try to earn a schollie.
A nice way to try before you buy!
"A compass, I learnt when I was surveying, it'll... it'll point you True North from where you're standing, but it's got no advice about the swamps and deserts and chasms that you'll encounter along the way. If in pursuit of your destination, you plunge ahead, heedless of obstacles, and achieve nothing more than to sink in a swamp... What's the use of knowing True North?"

Will somebody explain to me how this works. If the guy is a 4* and transfers, why doesn't GT give him a scholarship? Otherwise I gather he is gonna pay $20 or $30 thousand bucks for tuition/fees for at least one year. Is it not permitted? Does it have anything to do with transferring within the ACC? Or is Johnson just cheap?
