According to this BR contributor. He doesn't say much to back it up, but I think we know we will be much improved next year.
25 College Football Teams Guaranteed to Be Better in 2013 | Bleacher Report
Go Jackets! THWG!
Damn, we better be. .500 leaves a lot of room for improvement.
Unfortunately, Helluva is right. Nowhere to go but up. Well, we can go down, but Johnson won't be there when it is over. But we are going to be better, and I suspect a whole lot, numbers numbing better. This is the year that either Lee or Thomas will drive this option offense to huge numbers. Don't care which as long as the competition gives the job to the best, and the best can throw the football. Lee made a couple of nice throws in the Sun Bowl, then mucked it up with an int. But the one broken, roll out, scramble, make it happen play was something completely new in the five years of Johnson. My hopes are sky high.
There is a lot of reason for optimism. I'll probably post more on this later. Some things are starting to gel. We have a lot coming back.
So Paul Johnson won't be our coach next year? Sorry, I had to say it.![]()

11 out of 12. When will this stop?
Bobby Godd never, not once, ever blamed his boys for a loss. It was always on his shoulders, and his shoulders alone. That is greatness. This is not. --YukonWreck

I am already planning on going to the ACCCG. By RPI at the time I think we'll be the underdog, but that's why we play the game.
I think D will be better based on second half performance. ST will be better based on second half performance and Butker. And O will be better since we are only losing Uzzi and CPJ has no choice but to play Vad.
"A compass, I learnt when I was surveying, it'll... it'll point you True North from where you're standing, but it's got no advice about the swamps and deserts and chasms that you'll encounter along the way. If in pursuit of your destination, you plunge ahead, heedless of obstacles, and achieve nothing more than to sink in a swamp... What's the use of knowing True North?"

Now if we can develop a QB that is as good as TW?
I think we'll be a great team next year.
Give credit to our players, who finished with possibly the hardest schedule in the country in the last 3 games. Proud of them.
Watch out for Sims, he'll hit 1,000. Lee/Thomas will make us better at passing.
Don't know who'll step up next to Robbie. Days? Not sold on Bostic's blocking.
Hope that Waller steps up big time. Has the potential. Michael Summers from what I've heard will be good.
GO JACKETS THWG
Deon Hill can lay a huge block every now and then. Check out Vad's long QB draw in the USC game - he destroys a guy.
He's got good hands too. He just sort of lacks the speed of a Bostic or the strength of a Days.
I'm not worried about AB. We don't have anyone like Orwin coming back but Bostic's got great speed, hands, and a knack for making a play - like GoldenJacket says though, blocking needs work. Zenon is going to continue to make big plays when he gets in there. Days' abilities are obvious.
If Sims stays healthy, he'll definitely hit 1000. I didn't understand why the coaches were playing him hurt early in the season - he wasn't getting yardage because he simply couldn't hit the holes. But by the last few weeks, he was just a different player.
And then the o-line: Beno/Jackson, Mason, Finch, ____, Bailey. Looks pretty good up front. I guess O'Reilly and Jackson fight out for that guard spot?
