To waiver or not to waiver, that is the question......

for the NCAA to answer. I'm seeing lots of stories these past few days debating wether we should be granted the waiver to attend a bowl game should we lose to FSU. We certainly are not getting much respect in general because of our precarious predicament. Phrases like "backed into the championship", "other teams more deserving", and other mumblings are all over the web. I'm not thrilled about our situation, but should we get a waiver granted and force a lower tier team to stay home even though they may have a better win/loss ratio?

Well, i see all these articles as a saying, "we want something new to talk about" I mean we have all analyzed the offense, defense, special teams. Who's hurt, who's not hurt, blah, blah. Its just something to talk about. I mean, if it weren't GT who from the Costal would it be? Miami said no, and we would have won the tie breaker with UNC anyway, so I dont know why UNC is even mentioned at all. You want to send VT? Same rule applies only they were 4-4 in conference play. Basically they can bite me.

We should be eligible. Somehow we got the chance to play in a game we have no business playing in, we shouldn't be penalized for that...we are probably one of the best 6-6 teams in the country (yeah!).

I kind of wish Tech had waited until after the game Saturday, rather than more or less admitting we are gonna get clocked and need some help. Seems defeatist to me.

NCAA will probably be granting quite a few waivers since there are not enough eligible teams to fill all the bowl games.
