I think he missed more option reads in that game than he had the rest of the season as a whole.
But he made some too, and correctly followed the BBack into the hole when he should have given and didn't. That's HUGE.
He missed a read to Sims at about the 10 yard line that would have been a walk-in TD for Sims.
But he realized this right after he pulled the ball so he went straight into Sims' hole and got 8 yards.

So while that's a missed read, not all missed reads are created equally. He could have tried to run his normal path (and gotten smacked down by the End for a 1-yard loss) or freaked out and pitched off the End (and gotten the A-Back creamed for a 4 yard loss).

Hopefully the O-Line can continue what they've done against Maryland and UNC at Duke. Both showed 3-man fronts at least part of the time - which we struggled mightily against with BYU. That bodes well for the matchup against Grantham's crew. (DONT LOOK AHEAD DON"T LOOK AHEAD)

Vad doesn't seem dim at all. He is talking on the record where any statement he makes can be remembered forever. He is very careful. Talking on the record and being recorded is very intimidating. I was no where near as lucid at his age (and probably am not today).

Bring the Heisman back to GT!!!!! Way off in the future, but not arrogant. The other statement is about texting his former teammates who play for Duke saying how proud they are of each other. Wow. Good kid.
