I agree; we will play better, & look better. They will play with pride, & hopefully that will translate to a W. I know we all want Ws, but a few of you on here have said, that when we lose, it's not THAT we lost, but HOW we lost. Can always criticize the coaching, but when the players are playing their hearts out, regardless of the score, you have to give them credit.

If the guys go out and play their hearts out and play with pride and show that they wont to win the ballgame and come up short, I will be disappointed but I will not be the least bit mad. It is when they quit and set on the sidelines moping like they did against MTSU that I get mad just like other fans. I too truly hope they come out with pride and play hard and win. Maybe we do, we can still finish strong and go to another bowl game.

Clemson is WAY too fast for our defense. I bet they run no huddle, shotgun offense to run the score up quickly. They want to avenge last years loss in the same way they lost to WV in the bowl.

Over the years this game is usually close.
May I remind you that the folks that do this for a living had us favored against Miami by 2 touchdowns and were giving MTSU 27 1/2 to make it an even game?

I hope we play well, too. But there is a nagging feeling that this bunch of Yellow Jackets is lacking toughness--mentally and physically. I am concerned that we get down early and head for the buses.

This team has to begin to believe in itself. The players have got to step up. The coaches don't play the game. I sure hope our players have the strength to suck it up and go out and kick some butt on Saturday. They have to execute on every play. If someone goes down, they have to pick up the guy who takes his place.

They have to make blocks, tackle and hang on to the ball. They have to avoid stupid penalties and mental penalties (offsides, motion, etc.). Pass interference is OK if they are stopping six.

It is that easy. The team that executes its game plan and plays without penalties wins.

MTSU did that to us last weekend and that is why they won. They did not have better players.

I have same gut feeling and man do I hope I am wrong but last few games I see no comradeship or chemistry in the huddle.Folks aint getting after it like they should and nobody is firing folks up.Now I .........do want to be proven wrong since if right we get butts kicked so lets see our guys buckle up the chin strap and get some tiger butt.

CPJ made a good point at his presser yesterday. "these players are gonna bounce back faster than the fans". I plan to be surprised come saturday. Let them blow us off as nothing... we'll walk away with the V
