Nothing really new to GT fans who have followed the development of both guys since they've been on campus:
Days, Lee begin push on Ga. Tech's Washington *| ajc.com
-Synjyn: most athletic and probably physically most similar to Nesbitt (i.e. strong as f@#K!)
-Vad: best passer of the group, staff saw his potential last year and treated him like a contributing member of the team (got reps with the 1st and 2nd teams) instead of running scout team like most freshmen.
-Both QBs are getting every opportunity to prove they can start since they will get the majority of the scrimmage snaps this spring.
Should be THE race GT fans have anticipated since Vad stepped on campus.
Nice.. Days sounds like he is on a mission.. if he can take care of the ball we may see a new starter
let the competition begin! i hope there's a clear-cut #1 who outshines them all by the end of the spring game. with such limited practice time, though, it might be a tall order for synjyn or vad to be head-and-shoulders beyond TW. who knows? as long as someone is rising to the occasion and making this team better that's all i can ask.
The very last statement caught my eye. CPJ:
Quick hook?“You’d better maximize your opportunities and be productive when you get out there,” Johnson said.
CPJ is lovin' it. He's got 'em backed into a corner. May the best man win! That's all I'm gonna say 'bout that. Balls to the wall!!!

Not to piss in anyone's cheerios but....I think the QB battle this spring is to determine if Vad or SD is number 2. I think TW will remain starter going into the fall. #2 will then get best shot, more reps, to compete with TW for #1. Not to say that both might not leap TW in the fall but that's how I see this playing out.
coming outta spring practice it wouldn't surprise me in the least if TW is still #1 on the depth chart. they only have, what, 15 practices? even with TW's relative shortcomings compared to his competitors, he still has many more snaps and they can't come close to touching his experience.
i think the coaches have the right idea giving SD and vad the majority of the snaps. they know what TW can do. let's see what SD and vad can do with the ball. the true QB battle will most likely go down in preseason camp.
