    we've offered QB juwaan williams

QB'd state champs from tucker HS. 6'1", 180. has a number of early offers from schools recruiting him as an "athlete". we're offering him a shot at QB.

how 'bout this for a quote from juwaan!

It was a great offer, Williams told the AJC. The system they run at Georgia Tech fits me to a T. Its just a little more reading that I have to do at the line of scrimmage. If I went to Georgia Tech to play quarterback, Id have a chance to be the king of Atlanta. Georgia Tech is in the heart of Atlanta, and they have great fans that support the team.

    more here from AJC:

Does he play under center or in shotgun? Every guy we have now played shotgun in hs. It'd be nice not to have to reinvent the wheel with every new qb.

youtube highlights show him under center a lot. some shotgun, too. also, has highlights of his DB play.

i like this kid! he's not afraid to air it out. keeps his eyes up and has good field vision. keep your eye on him during his senior season. i hope we can hook him early.

I stand corrected ;-). Wasn't really paying attention to that aspect when I was watching it initially. Kid is a player. On both sides of ball. Looks really god on O though.

So much for this one flying under the radar...

SURE wish that there could be an early signing day, so HS underclassmen could get recruiting and signing over and done with if they chose to do so.

Might stop guys like Saban, UGA, and other SEC teams, and other coaches like Urban Meyer dead in their tracks.,
In the past GT football has often been JUST GOOD ENOUGH TO BREAK YOUR HEART!

I believe we are on the way to getting where we all want to be - Win Championships, and be more competitive with UGa and Bowl Games.

QB's looking up, WR's coming along(?), Welcome CTR, CMP and new AD, We have some good recruiters with a good class coming, Stamps back to ST's, all 3 phases should be better this year than last. We have team speed to match anyone we play.

    What's not to like?

Yep two thing I think would help College football as a whole, an early signing period and an 8 team playoff

That knife cuts both ways. If there had been an early signing period, we would have Justin Thomas right now. Or the LB who switched late, either. We would have found out Adams and Tomlinson weren't really ours to lose as neither would have committed early to GT. (we were clearly an insurance policy for both)
