I actually agree with the gist of it...GT needs to do a better job of signing more "elite" GA talent.

It should vex all of us, inasmuch as Coach Johnson declared that that would be one of our specific goals, i.e., recruit and sign top talent from our state. This will be a decent class, but not one marquee name to point to in four years. Stephen Hill, maybe.

Hard to argue with your sentiment, I find myself agreeing with you on a number of things lately, maybe I am just becoming more cynical as I see GT having consistent problems closing the deal or hanging onto what we thought were previously solid commits.

Maybe a Vince Lombardy could have coached up the 2nd worst recruiting class in the state but guys I have to say PJ is not even a shadow of Lombardy and he's not good enough to hold the jock strap of Dodd. I feel it's time for him to go.

These "fans" are something else.

Someone posted this in the comments section and I think it says a lot.

And then this one lunatic rants how we're 2-10 against "real" teams (VT, UGA, and bowl games I think is what he's referencing). When there is this (again from another poster): "You always like to point out we’re 2-10 against “real teams” (whatever that means). When CPJ is also 4-0 against MS State and Vandy, 2-0 against FSU, 3-1 against UNC (division rival), 4-1 against Clemson.

I guess those teams don’t count? Somehow they are not “real” teams?"

I don't know WTF the guy named foggy (who probably does look just like that guy in the picture) and keyboard warrior Schirmster, who posts 1200 times from the comfort of mother's basement while attending 1 football game in 3 years, expects out of GT football.

I don't know what the AJC's strange fascination is with posting anti-GT articles, whether they are self-fabricated or whatever, but it gets old. Love how all of this is based on the ESPN 150. Uzzi wasn't ranked in the ESPN top 150, and he was an all-american as a Jr. There are a dozen other stories / players just like this one too.

Cal really tears up that instate recruiting...seems to work well for their football program LOL

Paul Johnson recruits around GT's curriculum and needs for his program. 3rd best winning % in GT history, in a day and age where football is more competitive than it has ever been. When and / or if he starts to slip? Then let's revisit getting rid of the coach, but until then....Go Jackets!

Sorry TP you can't stand the truth. I know it hurts but the truth is the truth. Where did those 9 wins seasons PJ has had come from? Hate to say it as it also hurts but here again the truth is the truth Gailey or as I call him dumbo. They were his recruits. What has PJ done with his recruits lost to Utah, and AF, Ugay 0/2, VT 0/2 etc. It's time this guy gets a recruiter who knows what he's doing. Also I am a and fan since 46 so don't a person like you lecture me, I know the difference. As far as 9+ win seasons it has been done before and can be done again with the right guy.
