First, let me say it's pretty disgusting what Saban is doing over there at Alabama. A young man is one of 'Bama's first commits, and he doesn't hear about essentially getting his scholly revoked until 2 weeks prior to signing day. Saban is stacking 4/5 star recruits like he's shopping for gummy bears in a candy shop, but he lacks a moral compass. Read this:
Nick Saban to Atlanta RB: You can’t sign with Alabama until next year | AJC College Sports Recruiting
What does this have to do with GT? Well, before he committed during the summer, he told AJC that GT was one of his favorites:
Washington High RB Justin Taylor commits to Alabama (updated) | AJC College Sports Recruiting
"Recruiting interest in Taylor picked up only recently. He landed the offer from the Crimson Tide after attending their junior day this past weekend. His other offers were from Arkansas and Georgia Tech. He said Gerogia had just started to show some interest.
“If I had never gotten an offer from Alabama, I was looking at Florida and Georgia Tech,” Taylor said. “Georgia Tech could have possibly ended up being where I went. But I didn’t really want to be close to home. I wanted to go away to college.”"
Whatever happens with that young man, good luck.
From reading the article he still seems pretty comitted to the tide, but with that kind of size he would be a nice get at b-back!! I guess we shall wait and see...
Maybe it hasn't sunk in yet.
I read where this guy, that guy would be great at A back, B back etc. How many running backs does a team need? Seem to me PJ would like to have 85 on scholly at running back.
Why would a kid want to be the 26th rated recruit in a coaches eyes that is not good enough to even sign in two weeks, when other schools would take them in a heartbeat. I would think the competitive nature in a kid would want to go somewhere else.
That is pretty sad, what a piece of garbage Saban is.

11 out of 12. When will this stop?

Certainly this is a board and everyone is entitled to their opinion. It is just that mine is right and yours is wrong. --91Wreck
The whole oversigning thing is disgusting to me. He recruits, oversigns, and then restocks his 4 & 5 * players every year...at the end of the year, he's the one that gets the $$$ bonuses (and we're not talking pocket change). The kids get the hell beat out of them playing football & a free education....that is until they are "cut" from the team...
LMFAO. How many players do you think he told "You're the 26th commit, son. We'll be sure you make it on the roster next year." WTF is this? Minor league baseball? Penalties should be doled out for this POS practice. 2 weeks before signing day smh. Fans of the other SEC schools should especially be pissed since Alabama is the one beating them to win the conference year in and year out (if it's not a school named LSU...Auburn was an outlier as Chizik's diet that year consisted of ground unicorn horn and leprechaun farts....complete with 4 leaf clover enemas on game day...Coincidentally Beamer has the same pre game ritual.)

Was blown away by this article. The kid was Bama's 7th commit. 7th! Not 26. Saban has really pulled the wool over this kids eyes. I don't care where he ends up, he mentioned Tenn and UGA in the recent article, but would love to see him tell Saban where to put ut. I'd kick Saban's little ass if this was my kid.
Say what you want about our recruiting or lack thereof but I'm thankful we don't pull this slimy crap.
