This is a discussion on 4* athlete decommits from Bama, rumored high interest in GT within the Georgia Tech Football forums, part of the Georgia Tech Sports Message Boards category; I don't like all that hot dog stuff either. I don't want it on our team. That is not what ...
I don't like all that hot dog stuff either. I don't want it on our team. That is not what we are about. However, this kid has a serious burst. He separates from people faster than any other recruit on film that I have seen in a while. The funny thing was, some of the guys who were chasing him looked like they could run pretty well themselves, and they still got left in the dust. If he has the grades, this kid is a no-brainer. Give him a scholly and make room.
In some ways he is sloppy - has the ball in the wrong hand etc etc, but the athletic ability is undeniable.
I was a little concerned about the hot dogging as well, but honestly it could be a non-issue IMO. I think the more important question is his attitude. You can have some celebratory swag while still having a team-first attitude. If he doesn't have prima donna syndrome, you can coach away the celebrations. You can coach away the sloppiness. You can't coach that athleticism. Pick em up!
He isn't here yet, srs tells me, but if he does come, what is the chance of him getting redshirted? If he is a "me" guy will he be willing to RS?
That puts us back with Vad pushing TW. I still wonder what Vad and Days can do...
Still need a stud NT and a receiver who can catch a dang football to open this offense up.
Information I have tells me that he just committed to GT = WOW!

In the past GT football has often been JUST GOOD ENOUGH TO BREAK YOUR HEART!
I believe we are on the way to getting where we all want to be - Win Championships, and be more competitive with UGa and Bowl Games.
QB's looking up, WR's coming along(?), Welcome CTR, CMP and new AD, We have some good recruiters with a good class coming, Stamps back to ST's, all 3 phases should be better this year than last. We have team speed to match anyone we play.
What's not to like?
Great news!!! A four star commit who originally signed with the mighty Crimson Tide.
Still keeping my fingers & toes crossed on some of our other recruits, this could be a very special class, indeed!
TO HELL WITH GEORGIA!!!

If he can catch at all, which indications appear he can, he would be the ideal AB. It's the Percy Harvin type mold that would be perfect for us, and this kid at least appears to have that kind of speed. If he's even close to as elusive at the college level, it's a no brainer assuming QB isn't his fit. Imagine those crossing patterns the ABs run occasionally actually being caught and then someone with the wheels to just run away from everyone.
As per the AJC's recruiting blog, CPJ was responsible for the recruitment of this SA.
Great job CPJ!
Gentlemen, I have said it before and I will say it again if we are fortunate enough to get some more commitments that we are recruiting this could be a very special class for GT. Perhaps this will be our "dream team."
TO HELL WITH GEORGIA!!!
